Overview
ToolNeighbor (the "Service") handles as little personal data as possible. Because we don't offer accounts, logins, or payments, ordinary browsing does not require us to store personally identifying information (name, email, address, etc.).
Information we collect
- Visit logs, pageviews, and device/browser metadata through Google Analytics or an equivalent tool
- Cookies used by Google AdSense for ad serving, frequency control, and click measurement
- The email address and body of any message you send to contact@mytoolneighbor.com
Third-party services
Ads are delivered by Google AdSense, which may use your visit information to personalize ads. See Google's ad policy at https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads. Our database and hosting run on Supabase and Cloudflare Workers; each vendor maintains its own privacy policy.
Retention and deletion
Analytics logs are kept for up to 26 months and then deleted automatically. Email enquiries are deleted within 12 months after a reply is sent.
Your rights
To request deletion of your visit / cookie data, or to ask about how we process information, email contact@mytoolneighbor.com. We respond in line with Illinois state law and applicable US federal law.
Policy changes
If the policy changes meaningfully we update the "last updated" date at the top and note it on the home page.
